Ellie, one of our super star Beauty Apprentices, from the (pardon the pun) gorgeous salon, Just Gorgeous in Pershore tells about her Beauty journey;

"Beauty Therapy is something I have always wanted to do, I'm a real people person and love making people feel good, even if that's just for a couple of hours. But I didn't leave school with many GCSE's and this really knocked my self-confidence.

"I think this really made me question what I wanted to do, and I sometimes think there is so much pressure from schools to make a decision on what you want to do in the future, that could affect the rest of your life.

"It was around this time my Mum had an appointment with Just Gorgeous, and one of the girls was telling her that they were going to be looking for an apprentice, and as they say, the rest is history.

"Tina, my boss called me after two days of my mum giving her my number; I had my interview, and was offered the job on the same day!

"I've never looked back, the team at Just Gorgeous are fantastic, and have been so supportive to me throughout my qualification.

"I love training with Saks, as it's all work based I'm in the salon the whole time getting hands on experience, and learning to my salons standards. The thing with Beauty Therapy is that not one day is the same, I love how diverse it is, I never find myself being bored!

"If I could give one piece of advice to anyone considering an apprenticeship- it's don't let anything hold you back. I really doubted myself at school but now, I have found something I love doing, working with great people, learning every day with the backing of a well-known training provider, and getting paid!"
